Schuers Family ~ Ottawa Lake, MI {Toledo, OH Family Photography}

This might be the most touching photography session I have ever had the pleasure of being involved with.  A few grand children came together with the thought that they wanted to have their grandparents photographed in a memorable way.  We planned the session for the grandparents’s home.  The grand children gave me a list of their favorite memories of their grandparents.  The memories that don’t necessarily make for a perfect portrait background, but the ones that say “this is what I remember.”  We photographed them in their lawn chairs watching the traffic, near the wind mill they painted in school colors for each graduating grand child, in grandpa’s garage where he tinkers, and on his tractor as he mows the grass.  We went inside to document them waiting patiently in their recliners, and grandma washing dishes at the kitchen sink. So much love is in these photos.  I hope all of you find the time to remember what you love about your loved ones.  This session moved me. As someone who can’t take these photos of her own grandparents, I know how important these are.
